Composite (Tooth Colored) Fillings

Tooth-colored fillings are the most natural-looking material used to fill cavities. Once decay is removed, the tooth is filled with composite material that hardens immediately after placement.

Pulp Treatment (Pulpotomy/Pulpectomy/Baby Root Canal)

If the inner chamber of the tooth, known as the dental pulp, is invaded by decay, it will gradually deteriorate and become infected. The treatment process involves removing the infected pulp, and filling the chamber with a material that will help restore the tooth until it normally exfoliates (falls out on its own naturally).

Dental Crowns

Stainless steel crowns can be used to restore both primary (baby) and permanent molars that have extensive decay or have had root canal treatment. Durable and easy to keep clean, these restorations cover the entire tooth to prevent further decay from occurring.

Extractions

A tooth that can not be saved with restorative materials may need to be removed. Before removing the tooth, the area will be numbed with local anesthesia. The tooth is then loosened using a special dental instrument known as an elevator. After the tooth is loosened from the socket, it is removed.

Cosmetic Bonding

Bonding is a non-invasive treatment that can address some of the most common pediatric dental concerns. While bonding can provide a more natural appearance by using a tooth-colored composite resin that blends into the surrounding teeth, it can also be used to treat the following issues:

  • Cover stains and discoloration
  • Repair chipped or broken teeth
  • Change the shape of teeth
  • Lengthen the look of teeth
  • Close small gaps between teeth
  • Fill Cavities
